Call for Artists!! The Collaborative Art Journal Project
In the spirit of the New Year and new beginnings & adventures....
I am now actively looking for artists of any medium in any part of the world to participate in a traveling collaborative art journal project, [as per my vague and brief 1st entry!]
A journal will be sent from one participating artist to the next with each adding their own contribution, and if they like, a response to previous entries.
My plan so far is that alongside this journal, a collaborative blog will be set up so that each person can post their latest entry as they add to the journal, allowing others to see/ask questions/offer feedback on the works- and as a way for us to touch base on how we are going. This will also allow other people to see the progress of our project.
If you are interested or have any ideas for this project, please let me know- I'd love to hear from you!

I think this is a very cool idea and would love to participate. I do have one idea that might make kind of interesting--perhaps there is a way to do this without the Post. That way each collaborating artist can meet at least two other artists. How can we do this? For example, I'll be in Sydney and Adelaide in February . . . Of course, if you live on the other side of the country, it's not much help. And even with the post it's a great idea. Perhaps there's some way to include all of the stamps. My blog is at: http://fmusec.blogspot.com/
Cheers.

Cool Bek, looks like you have some takers cool - and don;t forget to count me in. Like I need one more project to keep me out of trouble - HAHAHAHA!!!!
Try to keep your participants to a low number, it's hard to manage the book or books if there are dozens of people involved. You could have say, one book and 12 artists, one for each month of the year. What about a book of seasons...???
Nice holiday entry too!
later, leeze

Thank you to everyone who has expressed interest already!!
There is till room for more people so please sign up if you're interested
I am really looking forward to this being very much a collaborative effort so any ideas you want to put forward, please do so!
Once the list of participants is finalised [taking Leeza's suggestion, im thinking about 12] i want to set up a separate blog to which we will all have access to contribute. Here we'll be able to keep in touch about how its going, ask questions, say hi and actually see what is being added to the book!
In terms of postage, each person will cover the cost of posting the book to the next person on the list [list will most likely be in order of signing up] so it will be the luck of the draw as to whether the next person lives nearby or overseas- hope this is ok :). The actual book will be fairly small [A5] so to help keep the costs down a bit[and I really like Urban Convert's idea of holding on to the stamps that accumilate along the way!]
will let each of you know more details as they unravel!
Happy New Year :)
